Areas of interest for partnership
St. Mary’s Shagasha is particularly interested in the areas of health and sanitation, environmental conservation and sustainability, computer literacy, science, and technology.
Our interests are therefore in the holistic upbringing of our pupils which necessitates academics, computer literacy, games and sports, nature conservation, and innovativeness/creativity (using locally available materials to get what you want through handwork and agriculture).

We pride ourselves in our rich culture and environment. Being in a rural setting, the fauna and flora are amazing. Our students are good singers and actors. It will be an opportunity for our partner school pupils and staff to learn about new cultures, experience the diversity of humanity, and food like bananas, coffee, etc. Enjoy nature (the birds and weather) as well as the hospitality of Uganda people. Enjoy the creativity of Ugandan children in crafts (handwork), and the conservation of nature.

St Mary’s Shagasha Nursery and Primary School is home to everyone and is special in a way given that it is in a rural village that is very safe. The children and the community are loving, social, friendly, and eager to learn from one another through sharing experiences and resources.
